What is Ikorel used for?

Ikorel is used to treat some forms of angina pectoris (chest pain). It works by widening blood vessels and increases blood supply to heart muscle. Your doctor, however, may prescribe Ikorel for another purpose.

What is nicorandil used to treat?

Nicorandil is a medicine used to prevent and treat chest pain caused by angina. Your doctor will usually prescribe nicorandil when other heart medicines have not worked or are not suitable for you.

Does Duride lower blood pressure?

Duride is used to prevent angina. Your doctor will have given you other tablets or a spray to use if you have an attack of angina. Taking these medicines together with Duride may cause your blood pressure to drop to a dangerously low level.

Can nicorandil cause breathing problems?

You are allergic (hypersensitive) to nicorandil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6). Signs of an allergic reaction include: a rash, swallowing or breathing problems, swelling of your lips, face, throat or tongue.

What are Duride tablets for?

DURIDE is used to prevent angina. Angina is a pain or uncomfortable feeling in the chest, often spreading to the arms or neck and sometimes to the shoulders and back. This may be caused by too little blood and oxygen getting to your heart. The pain of angina is usually brought on by exercise or stress.

When should I take nicorandil?

Take nicorandil exactly as your doctor tells you to. It is usual to take one tablet (either 10 mg or 20 mg) twice daily, in the morning and evening. When starting your treatment your doctor may give you a smaller dose (such as half a tablet) and then increase it after a short while.

How much Ikorel should I take?

The standard adult dose of Ikorel is 10 mg to 20 mg twice a day. A lower starting dose (e.g. 5 mg twice a day) may be needed in some patients. Your doctor may have prescribed a different dose. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure of the correct dose for you. They will tell you exactly how much to take.

Is it safe to take expired Ikorel?

Do not take it after the expiry date (EXP) printed on the pack. If you take it after the expiry date has passed, it may not work as well. Do not take it if the packaging is torn or shows signs of tampering. Do not give Ikorel to a child. There is no experience with its use in children. any other substances, such as foods, preservatives or dyes.
