The island is quite small, but it’s still one of the most spectacular places I have seen in Taiwan. Green Island is a perfect travel destination if you want to enjoy a day away from the intensity of Chinese civilization that’s so omnipresent in most cities on the main island of Taiwan.

There is no direct connection from Taipei to Green Island Nan Liao Harbor. However, you can take the train to Taitung, take the walk to Taitung Train Station, take the line 8103 bus to Fugang Ferry Terminal, take the walk to Taitung Fugang Fish Harbor, then take the ferry to Green Island Nan Liao Harbor.
