Is all Milliput the same?

Milliput is the trade name for our epoxy putty. We produce five grades: Standard (Yellow/Grey), Terracotta, Silver Grey, Black and Superfine White. Each grade is presented in similar packs containing 2 x 56•7gm. sticks and the general instructions for preparation and usage are the same.

What Milliput to use?

Scott, if you really want to go with Milliput then I’d suggest Silver-Grey or Superfine White just because they’re smoother; if you want to also use it for anything else they’re slightly nicer than the standard.

What are the different Milliputs?

Is green stuff better than Milliput?

Re: MIlliput fs Green stuff I find it too granular and not easy enough to push and pull around. Green Stuff does that really nicely, but is more flexible and can be really sticky so I like to mix it with a bit of ProCreate which holds detail better and reduces the stickiness (but by itself isn’t sticky enough).

What is similar to Milliput?

Epo putty does the same job as milliput but is safer as it doesn’t use oxygen to cure. Some say it’s a lot more useable than milliput but I find it to be same but it does cure a lot quicker.

Can you paint over Milliput?

Milliput epoxy putty can be painted after it has fully hardened.

Is milliput air dry?

Milliput Epoxy Putty is waterproof and can be used outdoors without any issues. So this is one of the biggest advantages of using Milliput Epoxy Putty over air-dry clay or other types of clay.

Which part of milliput is the hardener?

One part is the hardener, the other part is the resin. So logic dictates: more hardener -> harder finish, faster curing, more brittle. More resin -> slower curing, more ductile finish (‘means it’s less prone to crack when bending).

Can milliput be used on wood?

Milliput can be used to repair or fill wood as well as ceramics, glass, masonry, plastics and metals. It is an epoxy putty, supplied as two compounds you mix together. Milliput will not shrink as it sets, making it ideal for filling voids in wood. Once fully cured the putty can be sanded, drilled or even painted.
