Does everyone get into Cty?
CTY is unlike most colleges and universities in that you can get into its programs even if you only do well on one section of the SAT. If you find that you’re getting practice scores around 490 on Math but 600 on Reading and Writing, own it.

Eligibility Requirements
- Earn qualifying scores on the SAT, ACT or Advanced SCAT that qualify for CTY summer and online programs.
- Be in the 8th grade and attend a public or charter school.
- Be from a traditionally underrepresented student group in higher education.
- Have a combined family income of $75,000 or less.

Talent Search is designed for students in grades 2-8 who want to see how far they can challenge their intellectual abilities. How long is the cty test?

The SCAT has a verbal and quantitative section, each with 55 questions. On the test, 50 questions from each section are graded and 5 are experimental items that do not count towards the final score. Students have 22 minutes to complete each section.
