What is Parktronics?
Mercedes-Benz PARKTRONIC® with Active Parking Assist is a driver-assistive technology that helps you parallel park. The PARKTRONIC® with Active Parking Assist system uses an array of advanced sensors in a vehicle’s bumper to determine if the Mercedes-Benz car or SUV can fit into a parking spot.
How do I activate PARKTRONIC?
PARKTRONIC is activated automatically when you: switch on the ignition • shift the transmission to position D, R or N • release the electric parking brake PARKTRONIC is deactivated at speeds above 11 mph (18km/h). It is reactivated at lower speeds.
How do I reset my Mercedes Parktronic?
There is not an official way to reset the mercedes parking sensors. What You can do however is pull the fuse and let it sit for about 30 min. To get to the fuse box look to the left of the steering wheel look for a small seam or crack along the dash. Using a screwdriver or prybar You will want to pop this open.

The Parktronic switch can get sticky or stop operating. You may want to go further and remove the switch to check the operation with a multimeter. If the range of your Mercedes-Benz parking system is poor, clean the sensor first.
